You may NOT use the Platform for the following purposes:

3.1 Illegal Activities

  • Any activity that violates South African law or applicable regulations
  • Fraud, money laundering, or other financial crimes
  • Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics
  • Managing properties used for illegal purposes
  • Evading tax obligations or creating false financial records

3.2 Harmful Content

  • Uploading malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Distributing spam, phishing attempts, or unsolicited communications
  • Uploading content that is defamatory, obscene, or offensive
  • Sharing content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Posting false or misleading property information

3.3 System Abuse

  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to accounts or systems
  • Circumventing security measures or access controls
  • Automated scraping, crawling, or data harvesting
  • Interfering with the Platform's operation or other users' access
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the software
  • Using the Platform to develop competing products

3.4 Privacy Violations

  • Collecting tenant data for purposes other than property management
  • Sharing tenant personal information without consent or legal basis
  • Using the Platform to harass, stalk, or intimidate individuals
  • Impersonating other users or property practitioners

4. Data Accuracy

You are responsible for ensuring that data entered into the Platform is accurate and complete:

  • Tenant information must be current and accurate
  • Financial records must reflect actual transactions
  • Property descriptions and listings must be truthful
  • Documents uploaded must be genuine and unaltered

5. Security Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account:

  • Use strong, unique passwords and change them regularly
  • Do not share login credentials with unauthorised persons
  • Log out from shared or public computers
  • Report suspected security breaches immediately
  • Keep your contact information up to date for security notifications

6. Resource Usage

To ensure fair access for all users, you agree to:

  • Not exceed reasonable storage limits for documents and images
  • Not use automated tools to excessively access the Platform
  • Not intentionally consume excessive system resources
  • Report any performance issues you encounter

7. Compliance with Laws

When using the Platform, you must comply with all applicable laws including:

  • Rental Housing Act 50 of 1999: Fair treatment of tenants, proper notice periods, lawful eviction procedures
  • Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008: Fair contract terms, honest marketing
  • Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013: Lawful processing of tenant data
  • Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002: Valid electronic signatures and contracts
  • Property Practitioners Act 22 of 2019: If applicable to your activities

8. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to:
